Henry Collins was a Suffolk artist who worked to a very great extent within the county. He studied at Colchester School of Art and the Central School of Art, London. He worked as a freelance designer on commissions from the Central Office of Information and the Festival of Britain and taught for twenty five years at St. Martin’s School of Art as well as Colchester School of Art. Along with John Nash and Cedric Morris he was a founder member of the Colchester Arts Society. He exhibited several times at the Royal Academy. He was married to Joyce Pallot and they worked very successfully together as muralists.
