Description

Known as a coastal landscape and marine painter, Neville Pitcher somehow managed to combine detail with broad brushwork in the same picture. Pitcher worked as a Royal Navy volunteer during the Second World War. He exhibited at the Royal Society of Marine Artists, the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and the Royal Academy. Amongst other galleries, the Southend Museum and the Swansea Museum hold his work in their collections.
