Winter Art & Antiques Fair are delighted to have Mind, the mental health charity as their charity partner this year.

Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness, and promote understanding. One in four people will experience a mental health problem in any given year, but thousands are still struggling. Mind aim to make sure that everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.

Funds raised by this year’s fair will support their Creative Therapies Fund.  Established in 2012 in partnership with Mind ambassador and artist Stuart Semple, the Creative Therapies Fund allows Mind’s network of over 140 local Minds to apply for grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 to fund a broad range of arts-based projects across England and Wales.

Creative therapies help people gain a better understanding of themselves and of their mental health problems through creative expression. Through local projects, it provides a way of using the arts – for example, music, painting, clay, dance, voice or drama – in a supportive environment with a trained therapist.
