Description

Born in 1919, Lionel Bulmer attended Clapham Art School before conscription into the army on the outbreak of World War II. After the War he was accepted by the Royal College of Art. There he was taught by Ruskin Spear, Carel Weight and Charles Mahoney and, in turn, he taught at Kingston School of Art. The Government Art Collection holds a number of his paintings and his work can also be found in the Brighton and Hove Museum.
