Description

Meninsky painted still lives throughout his career and, although better known for his figures and his landscapes in the 1920s and 30s, his still lives represent a distinctive genre of his work. A memorial exhibition was organised by the Arts Council in 1951 – 52. Meninsky’s work can be found in the collection of the Arts Council, the British Museum, the Imperial War Museum, the National Gallery of Ireland, the Tate Gallery and the Victoria & Albert Museum amongst others.
