Description

Seago was one of the leading British Impressionist watercolour painters, one of the last in a line beginning with Hercules Brabazon Brabazon and Wilson Steer in the late nineteenth century. His natural and spontaneous style has influenced many painters but never really been equalled. He was self-taught and was so successful during his lifetime that large queues formed for his exhibition openings. This is a typical example of his style at its most fluid and relaxed.
